Tender Loving Care Weddings was born of the excitement Lisa Hegdahl experienced in the planning and production of her own wedding in 1997. She soon became an on-staff wedding coordinator at her local church, directing wedding rehearsals, serving as the liaison for wedding vendors, and coordinating ceremonies and receptions. Lisa’s dedication prompted her to seek a higher skill level. She enrolled in the prestigious Wedding Careers Institute, an international training and certification program for wedding and event professionals. Her portfolio received one of the highest certification scores in the institute, further emphasizing her desire to provide the highest level of service for her clients.
Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of California, at Davis. The experience at this world renowned educational institution, provided Lisa with a variety of academic challenges that have translated into an emphasis on excellence in all aspects of her company.
Lisa has worked in the credit department of a national department store, gaining financial insights into budget balancing and tracking payments, and as a credentialed teacher, learning about time management and patience under pressure. These managerial skills easily translated to her current role as a certified wedding consultant, organizing the myriad details of a full-scale wedding.
Lisa’s love of travel and adventure has taken her to a number of exotic locales, including 9 European countries, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. She frequents a local theatre, and she and her husband are season ticket holders to the Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team. She is also an avid gardener and amateur photographer.
In Tender Loving Care Weddings, Lisa has found a way to merge her career skills and hobbies into a business that truly showcases her talents, to the benefit of her clients. After over 13 years coordinating weddings, Lisa has earned a reputation as the top wedding consultant in California's Central Valley.
